The School of Physics achieved outstanding results in the 2024 Anhui Provincial College Student Innovation Competition

Recently, the Anhui Provincial College Student Innovation Competition (2024), jointly organized by the Provincial Department of Education, the Hefei Municipal People's Government, the Anqing Municipal People's Government, and the Wuhu Municipal People's Government, and co-hosted by Hefei University of Technology, Hefei University, Anqing Normal University, Anhui Technical College of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, and the Hefei Municipal Education Bureau, has come to a successful conclusion. After multiple rounds of screening and fierce competition, according to the public notice of relevant documents from the Department of Education, three teams from our school have won the Anhui Gold Award.

In order to implement the spirit of the 9th Party Congress of Hefei University of Technology, the School of Physics attaches great importance to organizing and participating in academic competitions. The participating students and instructors overcame difficulties, worked hard, and prepared actively for the competition. Ultimately, the project "Wisdom Quantum - Pioneer in Non-Destructive Testing Based on High-Performance Quantum Sensors" completed by students Jiang Jinhao, Zhao Guicong, Chen Shenyang, and others under the guidance of instructors Yu Tongpo and Yu Zhifei, and the projects "Quantum Chip Explorer - Pioneer in Quantum Defect Detection for Chips" and "YinBida Smart - Pioneer in Wireless, Passive Real-time Detection for Structural Steel Safety" completed by students Fang Qiaoqiao, Liu Mengjia, Guan Ming, and others under the guidance of instructors Chen Wuhui, Fan Jingwei, and Zhang Ting, successfully advanced to the final round and won the Anhui Gold Award. Renamed from the Anhui Province 'Internet+' College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the Anhui Provincial College Student Innovation Competition (2024) continues with the theme of "I Dare to Venture, I Can Innovate." It carries out the fundamental task of moral education, inheriting and promoting red genes, focusing on the integration of innovation and entrepreneurship education practice in five areas of development. This initiative initiates new journeys in reforming innovation and entrepreneurship education, ignites young students’ passion for innovation and creation, uses the competition to promote teaching as an exploration for new pathways in talent cultivation, fosters a new force of innovative and entrepreneurial talents through study enhancement, and establishes a new platform for industry-academia collaboration via innovation promotion.

 The School of Physics participated conscientiously in preparation for the contest, applying the principles of learning, teaching, construction, and management enhancement through competition. These efforts have effectively promoted improvements in the school’s capabilities in physics experimental instruction, laboratory construction, and management levels. They have played a positive role in enhancing college students' overall quality and engineering abilities. By seizing the competition as an opportunity, it continuously improves the system construction of innovation and entrepreneurship education.
